How the numbers work

  • Hours back a year are the hours the team spends on the task, plus rework, multiplied by the share automation can take on, over 46 working weeks.
  • Annual value multiplies those hours by the loaded hourly cost. Full-time capacity divides the hours by 1,760.
  • Payback divides your implementation cost by the monthly value minus the monthly running cost. It only appears when you add a cost.
  • The model counts time and rework only. It leaves out faster cycle times, fewer missed follow-ups and better data, which are real but harder to price.
